FLOORS & STAIRS
Flooring and stairwork have a major impact on the overall character, warmth, and continuity of a home. Whether installing new hardwood, refinishing existing floors, working with tile or stone, or rebuilding stair elements, my focus is always on creating surfaces that feel durable, cohesive, and thoughtfully integrated into the surrounding space.
Projects can range from full-home flooring installations to more targeted transformations within a single room—replacing tile with wood, introducing stone or patterned tile, restoring worn hardwood, or creating cleaner transitions between materials and levels throughout the home. Staircases often become important architectural features in their own right, requiring careful attention to proportion, finish, flow, and long-term durability.
Rather than treating flooring as a purely functional element, I see it as foundational to the atmosphere of a space. The goal is always to create surfaces that feel intentional, comfortable, and built to age beautifully over time.
Transforming an unused dead space into a fully custom white oak staircase, designed and built from the ground up with integrated landings and steel railings to create both circulation and architectural presence within the home.
Creating a seamless curbless shower by continuing tile uninterrupted throughout the bathroom floor while using a tile-over-tile installation approach to minimize demolition, mess, and disruption. The result brings greater openness, accessibility, and visual continuity to the space.
Installing patterned tile flooring designed to integrate with custom cabinetry and dark architectural finishes, creating rhythm, contrast, and cohesion throughout the space.
Refinishing heavily worn hardwood flooring to restore warmth, continuity, and natural character throughout the home while integrating seamlessly with the newly renovated kitchen.
